History

The Piano Teachers’ Round Table was established April 5, 1922 by a group of dedicated musicians with a desire to further and enhance the appreciation of good music in the St. Louis area.  PTRT meets monthly September through May.

Piano Teachers’ Round Table purposes:

  1. To raise teaching standards

  2. To refine teaching techniques

  3. To share professional ideas

  4. To promote interests vital to piano teaching

  5. To foster good fellowship in the music profession

Members benefit through the following:

  1. Round table discussions, questions, ideas and concerns

  2. Piano literature presentations

  3. Master classes

  4. Lecture performances by local, regional and national professionals

  5. Member presentations of skill development and motivational ideas

  6. Annual student showcase recital

  7. Social gathering after meetings

  8. Annual luncheon with St. Louis Area Music Teachers Association

To Become a Member of PTRT complete PTRT Membership Form and submit, along with $50 Membership dues payable to PTRT to:
