What Teachers Need to Know about Music Publishing
Kyle Cronan, Midwest Music

Kyle Cronan has been owner and CEO of Midwest Sheet Music since July 2021. He will bring news from the publishing world, revealing how publishers are handling business and the effects it has on teachers when choosing and ordering music.

In addition, Kyle will offer some new suggestions for pieces to consider when the “old standard” isn’t quite right for your student.

In support of our organization, a portion of the profits from any music purchased that day at Midwest Sheet Music will be donated to PTRT.

Kyle holds a bachelor’s degree in piano from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, a bachelor’s degree in finance from Southeast Missouri State University, and a master’s degree in business administration from Webster University. He received a certificate in financial skills from Washington University’s Olin School of Business. Before acquiring Midwest Sheet Music, he worked at Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing and Washington University in various financial service capacities.

His private music instructors have been Kathy Lawton-Brown, Jerry Chilcutt, Gerald Ette, Ronald Hall, Robert Ray, John Shelton, Alla Voskovoynikova and Margaret Wilson.
