Dr. Shelly Moorman-Stahlman is a frequent recitalist as both a pianist and organist. She has been a featured artist at major venues in Washington DC, New York City and Philadelphia. She regularly performs solo piano and organ recitals throughout Brazil and has performed the Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3, Schumann Piano Concerto and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with orchestras in São Paulo, Mogi das Cruzes and Porto Velho. In 2018, she performed Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Maine Pro Musical Orchestra in Rockport, Maine. Other recent piano performances include Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto at Market Square Presbyterian Church with chamber orchestra, Mozart D Minor Piano Concerto with the National Symphonic Orchestra in Paraguay, Rachmaninov Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with the Hershey Orchestra, the Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Central Pennsylvania Orchestra, the Beethoven Concerto No.1 with the Pine Street Chamber Orchestra in Harrisburg, and numerous solo piano recitals in both United States and in Brazil. She was a featured organist at the American Guild of Organists Regional Convention in Iowa City and has taught and performed at numerous AGO Pipe Organ Encounters. Recent organ recitals include performances at the Missouri United Methodist Church in Columbia, California Lutheran University, Central Synagogue International Series in New York City, Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, University of Arizona in Tucson, RLDS Temple in Kansas City, Christ the King Cathedral in Atlanta, and for the Region III AGO Convention. She also has given many workshops and masterclasses for conventions, colleges and churches.

Dr. Moorman-Stahlman is currently professor of music at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania, where she teaches organ, piano, class piano and church music courses. The creator and director of Lebanon Valley College’s recent cultural exchange program with Brazil, Moorman-Stahlman has hosted seven cultural exchange programs for Brazilian students at LVC and has led three student trips to Brazil. In addition, she serves as director of music at Grace Methodist Church in Harrisburg.

She has studied piano with Ruth Slenczynska (the last living pupil of Rachmaninoff) and Santiago Rodriguez and organ with Delbert Disselhorst, Delores Bruch, John Ditto and Harald Vogel. Moorman-Stahlman is represented by Concert Artist Cooperative.
